Instagram now lets you embed a miniature version of your profile into a website – TechCrunch

Instagram is rolling out New “Include Profile” feature that allows users to embed a reduced version of their profile on a website. The new feature will allow users to integrate their Instagram profiles into websites such as blogs and wallets. The social media giant says the feature is currently only available in the US Instagram head Adam Mosseri has announced the launch of the new feature in Video Posted on Twitter.

“I’ve been able to embed an Instagram photo or Instagram video into a website for many years now,” Mosseri explained in the video. “This extends this idea and allows you to embed a miniature version of your Instagram profile on a website. Perhaps you want to display your Instagram content on a website somewhere or link to someone else’s content.”

In the video, Mosseri also outlined two other features that were announced earlier this week. The company has launched a new “Reels Visual Replies” feature that allows users to reply to comments on posts using Reels. Now, when users choose to respond to a comment, they’ll see a new option that allows them to select the Reels button to generate a response to the video. The video response will appear as a sticker. The new feature is similar to TikTok video responses, which allows users to respond to comments on their content with video responses. TikTok launched the feature last year to give users a way to provide more context around their videos and answer questions.

Given the popularity of the TikTok feature, it is not surprising that Instagram launched a feature similar to its own TikTok-clone. Instagram wasn’t the only one to do this, as Pinterest rolled out the option to allow users to reply to comments with videos a few days after Instagram announced its feature.

The third new feature mentioned in Mosseri’s video is the time capsule feature for end-of-year IG stories “playing”. This feature takes advantage of the platform’s Stories Archive, where users can customize and choose up to 10 stories to share with their followers. To be eligible for this feature, users need to post more than three stories this year or turn on Stories Archive. Instagram suggests play posts for you, but you also have the option to choose what you want to share. The new feature is currently available to users for “several weeks”.
